HISTORICAL EVENT
September 11, 2001

I remember the attack of 9/11 very well. I was in sixth grade English class when the principle made announcements over the intercom asking the teachers to turn the T.V. on to the news. We were curious to find out what was going on but this was no ordinary announcement – he was serious and we felt a bit scared and were anxious to find out what was going on or what has been going on. As I heard the news reporter talking about the plane hitting one of the twin tower and people trying to run for their lives, I was puzzled, worried, scared and felt sorry at the same time. I felt puzzled because I moved to the US not too long ago before this incident and I had never heard of the twin tower before.

The long silence in our class room was awkward; the kids had never stopped chattering for this long. I was still puzzled and from the serious looks from teacher and many students in the classroom – I knew this was really serious!

Couple minutes later, around minutes, the news reported the other twin tower being hit by another plane. People on the streets who stood to witness this were flattered as seen from their facial expression. Some of the had their wife, husband, son, daughter, relatives and only thing they could do is pray and hope for the best. Those who were in bottom floors had chance to escape and survive, but those on top had no chance at all since the middle of the building was hit and burning, so many ended up jumping than suffering through long lasting pain.

All the channels were reporting these incidents, death tool and the impact for several weeks after the 9/11. During this day, 9/11, we were released early on the day of this incident and US was put in level red security, meaning the security at all public places such as airports, schools, etc. had to be strengthened. This incident lead to many dilemmas, the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, just to name a few. This also led to rise in gas prices years later, and the 9/11 still has an big impact our lives today, especially those who had friends, relatives, or family member in the building in time of this incident.

9/11 has left a mark in American history and those who have passed away will remain in our heart. Those who seek trouble will find a way, but it is our duty to cooperate and protect the citizens.

Is Money Route of all Evil?

Is money route of all evil? Is it? Well don’t you think it would depend on the person whose possession the money is in? If generally speaking, I believe money is route of all evil. Why do I say this? Well, simply because if money is in ones hands, they hold more power and feel that they are better then the rest, at least those are less rich then they are. Money can get you anything you want, and that is the problem. Money, itself, holds the power to change ones personality. As money is easily available, your thoughts and ideas broaden and start to change. Well of course not everyone with money is like this, but in most cases they are.

Having a lot of money gives you economic power. Having a lot of power gives you political power. And there is major difference between those two. What I mean by economic power is money in you hands and political power is a gun in your hand. Money in your hand allows you to do things, make choices, and even influence others. As you may know, politics, money is earned by donations and fundraising. You must get what you want by persuading others to give it to you, in exchange for money. With a gun in ones hand, you can just order others to do what you want or give you what your want by just point of a gun.

When asked the question, is money route of all evil, I have tough time answering it because many people who are handed the money from their parents or generations down have not worked hard for it and don’t know how to appreciate what is given to them. As opposed to someone who has sweat to earn the money that they possess, then they have a reason to feel happy and feel that power. Those who have worked their butt off to earn money values and appreciates what he has and knows how hard it is to make money, especially for those lower class. There are those fluent people such as Bill Gates, Opera, Angelina Jolie, and others who understand the situation in other countries and provide donation of some sort all around the world. For example Bill Gates donates money every year, millions and millions to help build schools, hospitals, etc. So does Opera, she recently opened up school in Africa. I’m not saying all rich people are greedy and have different taste then us, but in most cases money is the route of all evil.

Material things never last and yet it seems to be the most important thing in some people's lives. From how somebody looks to what somebody is wearing its funny how money can rule over somebody's life. Whether it's from robbing a bank or killing someone over drugs and then ending up in jail either way your life gets taken. So with that having said, I believe money is route of all evil.

Creative Ending
The Lady, or the Tiger?

A king’s daughter is caught with her common-class lover, and as punishment he is thrown into an arena with two doors. Behind one door is a lady, and behind the other is a tiger; whichever door he opens is his fate. Meanwhile, the king’s daughter takes steps to find out which door will hide the lady and which will hide the tiger, and on her lover’s fateful day in the arena, she signals to him to choose the door on the right.

The lover had never been put under such pressure; thousands stood and watched to see which door he would pick. He was getting nervous as he reached to the doors, his heart started pounding harder and crowd got quieter every step he took closer to the doors. The decision that he is about to make will determine his future, whether he will live happily with the lady princess or die there at the point while being watched thousands.

The king had put so much pressure on the lover that he just came to a paint where he was about to kill himself with sword lying around. But he knew that it is better to take the 50/50 chance, and choose the door with the lovely princess. But at the same time he was mostly concerned about what it would be like to be eaten up into pieces by hungry tigers who haven’t eaten in weeks. Only thing he can do is take the chance and hope for the best. So he did…

The lover ran up to the doors and stopped. He waited by the door to try and hear any roar from the tigers, but the brick walls were covered from all four sides and didn’t project any roaring. What he did was ask the crowd to choose the door for him since he cannot trust in himself, he was too worried of choosing the wrong door. He asked the crowd, “Which doors should I choose”, and then he pointed left - the crowd screamed. He pointed to the right door – the crowd screamed even louder! So, he went on and thought he should just go with the crowd and open up the right door – so in case he is wrong – he is not to blame himself for the choosing wrong. So he went on and opened up the right door.

The door opens up and sees neither the lady nor the tiger. In fact, there is no one at all behind the door. Upon seeing this, the crowd looks at the king to see how he would react. Then the crowd tried to spot the lady princess, but she was no where to be found. Both the lady princess and the lover were suddenly gone! Disappeared! The crowd screamed and wondered. King was shocked and filled with anger! He commanded his servants to go search for both lady princess and the lover immediately! There they were seen in distance, holding hands, running and escaping. There were never seen by the king or the crowd, and both lived happily ever after!
