Credits: 1 ![]() | Good day, I'll like to know if computer screen video captures can be used as evidence. Not necessarily in court, but just as evidence to prove that the conversation really did happen. Here's what happened: 4 parties involved in this case: PayPal scammer, Jason, PayPal and me. The Paypal scammer is a egyptian guy, so I can't really recall his name, let's just call him Mr. Scammer. :D So Mr. Scammer, wanted to transfer funds from PayPal to Western Union. I referred him to Jason. I don't really know Jason, but he seemed like a nice guy. Seemed. So Mr. Scammer contacted Jason and sent him 210 (according to Mr. Scammer). But Jason didn't send Mr. Scammer the money in Western Union (according to Mr. Scammer again). So, Mr. Scammer looked for me on MSN (Windows Live Messenger) and asked me about this guy, so on blah blah. Then, he went on to "admit" that he was a PayPal scammer. He stole PayPal accounts and used the money inside. Now, we must go a few months back. March, he bought something from me from an online store, PayLoadz. Today, he told me he used a stolen account's funds. So, he said I was in cahoots with Jason, and demanded that I pay him the money. I only have ~$17 in my Paypal , and I do not even have a Western Union account. So Mr Scammer was like, the money I used to transfer to Jason's PayPal was from a stolen account. So now Paypal is investigating this, and Jason can prepare to go to jail (I don't really know if its true, haha). Then, he threatened me. He told me about the account he used to buy my stuff, then said that I could also be in trouble if PayPal investigates me. Most of the conversation , the parts about him admitting to be a scammer, the threatining and all that, I have gotten it down on a screen video capture program called CamStudio. I want to know if these videos (many, because I kept pressing the keyboard shortcut for "Stop") can be used as evidence against him. And the MSN records also. TIA, Regards. |

| Contributing Member | Well, at least you seem to be the nice guy in this story, so you might not get in trouble with PayPal.
