I almost always try to do this if I have time. Some of my blogs are busy, but not so busy that I can not check out everyone who posts on my site's site (i think that makes sense, lol)

It depends; I don't comment just to return the favor, but if I see that their blog posts are related to any of my interests, I certainly comment back (or if I do have an opinion of that I'd like to share in response). However I do respond to comments in my own blog, for the most part. A lot of my readers though, seem to share similar writing interests or subjects, so it's never really a problem.

I actually do, its just common courtesy in my opinion. Its a great to establish a I scratch your back and you scratch mine relationship.

I can understand wanting to return the favor, but if someone comments your blog and you only comment so back out of a feeling of courtesy and obligation, don't you think it's a bit forced?
