It won't suddenly start growing out of no where, unless you have a member base already like DigitalPoint had from its services. Building an online community is a long term job, you'll actively have to spend a lot in building backlinks, posting quality content, building member base, keeping members happy whether it be holding contests once in a while, or any other incentives. So if you want to start a forum, only do so if you have the time and patience, because seriously it's not an easy task. Takes a lot of time.
