This is nice, but I would live to comment on the proportions and composition.

The solid image of the slick, black hoop is working as un unneccesary focal point because:
1) there is a pretty big empty space ( negative space, bg ) right next to it, which focuses the view to any appealing image next to it. Try moving the image a little bit to the right to minimize the negative-space.
2) the text maybe too small. The text or the title is supposed to be main focal point, isn't it ? Make it stand-out from the rest.

-The C4D effect under the title, I believe is also unneccesary. It is leading the viewer's eye downwards, and away from the title and the hoop logo. If you'd like to keep that there, I advice you to add another/some-more C4D's on that negative-space in between the hoop and the title, so that the viewer's eye will be lead around the whole image.

Adding any image relavent to 'basketball' does not necessarily mean that it would look-good.

Try composing the images in such a way, that the viewer's eye will be lead around the whole image in a continuous motion.
Just have a look at this for example ( by rauschenberg )

There is alot of content to it, but the viewer's eye will continuously circulate around the image, right ?

I can not tell you exactly what to do, because I can be very wrong and each person has his or her own opinions. Just experiment with new things and keep practising, and your images will be improved.
