Anyone can ask a question in this thread which must be related to xHTML or HTML and other's will have to give an answer to it. If no one is able to answer, the one who asks the question will do it :tongue1:My question : What is the contribution of Tim-Berners-Lee in the field of HTML ? - Swastik |

| Contributing Member | He and his team developed what today is know as HyperText Markup Language (a.k.a HTML xD) I assume I have to post a question as well so here it is: why is it important to have your sites as valid HTML?

| Administrator ![]() | why is it important to have your sites as valid HTML? Because there might be broken links that might drive visitors away. It's also good to have sites as valid HTML for Search Engine purposes, since having serious HTML errors might be a problem. There are many other reasons that make it important to have your sites as valid HTML. My question: What are some websites where I can learn about HTML and step-by-step guide to mastering it from basics. |

If your html code is invalid, it will cause most web browsers go into "quirk mode". What does this quirk mode thing do? It makes all browsers to interpret your html codes as old html codes in order to be able to render your pages as accurately as possible... even if you're not using deprecated tags. Can you imagine what would happen to your sites? That's your homework now!

| Contributing Member | New Question: CSS is here, so we no longer need to use tables in our site. Is that right? Let see if someone can come up with the right answer ;)
