Default [REVIEW] Designing a WP theme, need reviews!

THEME UPDATED -> See new design here!

================================================== ===================

Hi guys,

I believe that every site on the web should change every now and then in order to keep your visitors interested. Now, I feel like that time has come for my blog so I've started designing a new theme and hopefully it'll be up and running by the end of this month. However, I ran out of inspiration and hope that you guys can help me again to finish this design

Here it is:

Please review it and give me some ideas! Thanks in advance!

I was just thinking the same about the logo. Maybe I'll start a Logo design contest or simply hire someone to create one that fits better with my design.

Looking foward to hear from the rest of you, guys!

please, do you need to do the "sample" things on your designs?

-The logo looks really nice, suits really well for web designing sites.
-Rss button should be improved, emphasize on the Rss icon.

And please do tell me how would you style those "blogrolls" and "categories", don't tell me they're images.

Well, it's not that complicated. I'll create images for all those sections. Then, I'll replace the titles hiding the text and using the images as its background. It's quite simple actually, and the best part is that spiders will still be able to see my titles.

This is a really top-notch job. I'm not a big fan of the logo, but it works.

Yes, and No.

If you hide text Google might ban you. The reason behing this is that some bad webmasters have this nasty practice of inserting lots of keywords in a page and then hide them so these keywords are only visible to spiders and not to human eyes. This is known as Keyword Stuffing. When the spiders come crawl that page, they'll find all those nice keywords and quickly index that site and improve its SERP. Google (as well as other SE) knows about this trick and have banned and is still banning keyword stuffed sites as a punishment for such bad practice.

However, apparently this only happens if you're found hidding a certain amount of words in your pages (maybe 100+ words). In my case, I'd be hiding just a few words so I won't be penalized by the SEs. I've tested this and so far every website I've coded is still indexed without any penalties ;)

that's awesome, maybe if reducing the glow a bit would make
the text more clear [on logo]

I have a question, when you create a website design in photoshop
and it includes text layers, I wonder how to export the exact text
to html or web template in dreamweaver or web related programs
is that even possible?
